Treedom is the first platform globally that allows consumers and corporations to plant trees and see their impact online, supporting farmers and NGOs worldwide. Treedom wants to become the most prominent tree-growing global community. Since its foundation in 2010, Treedom has introduced innovation and transparency in a traditionally charitable sector, transforming the long-standing idea of planting trees to guarantee the planet's longevity into a modern communication and engagement tool. With Treedom, trees are bought to contribute to one’s wellbeing, out of social responsibility or are gifted to others, thereby evoking an emotional meaning to both the giver and the receiver. After being planted by a local farmer, each tree is geolocated and photographed individually, allowing users to follow the project the tree is part of and receive updates and pictures. Thanks to these features, Treedom’s trees are engaging and, at the same time, can become marketing and internal communications tools for an increasing number of companies who pursue Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objectives. More than 3 million trees were planted, supporting more than 180.000 beneficiaries in 18 countries and absorbing more than 800 million kg of CO2 in 10 years. Since it was founded in 2010, Treedom has always pursued the principles of efficiency and effectiveness, together with CSR goals, in a constant drive to generate and maintain value for all shareholders growing from € 4 million in revenues in 2019 to almost € 14 million in 2021. Treedom works with more than 9.000 corporate clients, and its client portfolio includes companies such as Timberland, Toyota, Enel, Unicredit and Samsung.
